Dear Judge Harmon,
My work regarding the need to generate reforms to the financial system has been reported in the NY Times, USA Today, Bloomberg and other leading publications. I have been so successful that Cisco Systems even focused their entire public relations staff in an organized but failed effort to discredit me.
Perhaps one of the more frustrating aspects of writing about and trying to generate needed dialogue on these issues is my interaction with Milberg Weiss. Milberg Weiss used my report on Cisco Systems, without attribution or approval, to quickly file a class action lawsuit against Cisco Systems' CEO and CFO for illegal insider trading.
It is my belief that Milberg Weiss is now running a financial pyramid scheme, not unlike that at Enron. Milberg's scheme is to file numerous lawsuits, negotiate a settlement with management, pocket a quick 33 percent of the judgment, and move on to the next case.
This is very disheartening and is making achieving needed reforms much more difficult because people like myself are not getting the exposure necessary to discuss these issues.
I closely studied Enron three years ago and discovered they were emulating certain techniques used by Microsoft. My website at www.billparish.com has clearly documented how Enron's scheme works for more than two years. Please do consider removing Milberg Weiss from consideration. Like Enron, they need a wake up call that there is more to this than a numbers game. There is far too much at stake.
